Venezuela Launches National Consultation on Amnesty Law for Reconciliation

Acting President Delcy Rodriguez called Venezuelans to join the national consultation on the Amnesty Law, highlighting unity, reconciliation, and economic dialogue as priorities.


Venezuela’s Acting President, Delcy Rodriguez, called on Monday, February 9, on citizens to participate in the national consultation on the Amnesty Law, an initiative aimed at promoting unity and reconciliation in the country.

“A national consultation process on the Amnesty Law is underway, which must be for unity and reconciliation”, Rodriguez stated during an inspection of the Alimentos Rio de Oro Company.

“Let’s all, all sectors of the country, let’s contribute to this Amnesty Law and let’s also contribute to the program of democratic coexistence and peace”, urged all sectors of Venezuelan society to actively join this proposal.

Acting President Rodriguez emphasized that the meeting of diverse viewpoints must be based on mutual respect. “From differences, plurality and diversity let us meet, but let us meet with respect”, she declared.

“Venezuela wants to work. Venezuela wants to move forward. Venezuela wants to overcome difficulties”, she emphasized as national priorities.

As part of the Democratic Coexistence and Peace Program, Acting President Delcy Rodriguez reiterated the importance of respecting the prices agreed upon between the National Government and industry to prevent speculation, thus integrating economic and social dialogue.

Rodriguez emphasized that this dialogue seeks to bring together the economic, political, and social sectors to guarantee Venezuela’s future, independence, and sovereignty.

Venezuela reported 19 consecutive quarters of economic growth, with an 8% increase in its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2025, according to official data. Meanwhile, the Bolivarian nation possesses strategic reserves sufficient for 116 days and ensures the availability of 23,000 tons of food weekly through open-air markets, thereby strengthening food security.
